The Story Behind Tatte

Tatte began as a humble tatte bakery stall in Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood, founded by Tzurit Or — a pastry chef with deep roots in Tel Aviv's food culture. Driven by a vision to bring the warmth of Middle Eastern hospitality and European baking craft to New England, Tatte quickly became more than just a café.

Every item on the menu tells a story: flaky bourekas inspired by Tzurit's grandmother, slow-brewed coffee that recalls narrow cobblestone streets, and pastries that balance sweet and savory with an artist's instinct. The tatte bakery philosophy is simple — use the finest ingredients, bake with intention, and serve every guest like family.

Today, with multiple locations across Boston and Cambridge, Tatte remains true to its roots: a neighborhood gathering place where you can linger over a hand-crafted latte, share a mezze plate with friends, or pick up a fresh loaf on your way home.

Our Mission

To create a welcoming space where exceptional tatte bakery food, genuine hospitality, and community spirit come together — feeding both body and soul, one handcrafted bite at a time.

Our Core Values

Every decision we make — from sourcing ingredients to designing our spaces — is guided by these principles.

Quality Ingredients

We source seasonal, local, and sustainable ingredients. From our flour to our dairy, every element is chosen with care for both flavor and responsibility.

Community First

Our cafés are designed to be neighborhood anchors — places where regulars are known by name and newcomers feel instantly at home.

Artisan Craft

Everything from our bourekas to our croissants is shaped, filled, and baked by hand. We believe craft is what separates good food from unforgettable food.

Cultural Bridge

Our menu bridges Middle Eastern and Mediterranean traditions with Boston's local palate — celebrating diversity through every dish we serve.
